This large cemetery is one of four located southeast of the intersection of North Street and Cleveland Avenue on the south side of Olympia.

The Olympia Historical Society was founded in 2001 with the vision to collect and preserve Olympia area historical resources, from family attic treasures to architectural gems, and to find ways to make that history accessible and available to the public. The Bigelow House Preservation Association was formed in 1992, dedicated to preservation of Bigelow House and interpretation of local and regional history. In December 2013, the memberships of both organizations voted to merge and become the Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum (Society and Museum).

The Olympia Tumwater Foundation honors both the history and future of Thurston County through its commitment to a wide range of community projects including student scholarships, historic preservation, and stewardship of Tumwater Falls Park. Through such civic involvement, the Foundation continues the tradition of philanthropy and responsible citizenship established by the Schmidt family and the Olympia Brewing Company.

This is one of the largest cemeteries in Thurston County, located south of Olympia. Go south on Capital Boulevard through Tumwater and turn on Trosper Road. Cross over the freeway on Trosper Road (54th Ave SW) and continue a short distance to Littlerock Road SW where you turn left. Travel along Littlerock Road about 0.25 miles and the cemetery will be on your right.

Members of the Association have provided evidence of their ancestry as including pioneers who arrived in the region prior to statehood, November 11, 1889.

This cemetery is located south of Olympia, behind the Bush Prairie (Union) Cemetery. Go south on Capitol Boulevard through Tumwater and turn on Trosper Road. Cross over the freeway on Trosper Road (54th Ave SW) and continue a short distance to Littlerock Road where you turn left. Travel along Littlerock Road and the cemetery will be on your right.
Although the land was not acquired by the Catholic Church until 1873, it was evidently used earlier since some of the stones predate that time. The property (slightly over two acres) was part of the Donation Land Claim of Jessie Ferguson. Around 1900 the conditions deteriorated and a number of the individuals were moved. Many of the pioneers of the area were buried there. It is associated with the earliest period of Tumwater history. The Pioneer Calvary Cemetery was the first Catholic Cemetery in the area.

The Puget Sound Genealogical Society, located in Kitsap County, Washington, provides research, educational, and genealogical information through instruction, both classes and programs. The primary purpose of PSGS is “Preserving Family History Through Education and Research.”
