About Us

The Olympia Genealogical Society (OGS) was founded in 1974 to promote the study, interest and research of family and local histories, and to encourage assistance, cooperation and guidance in those efforts to members, friends, and the community. The Washington State Genealogical Society (WSGS) helps connect you with resources and services so you can advance your search for your Washington State ancestors and family history. WSGS provides a list of upcoming events of Washington-based genealogy societies.

The National Genealogical Society (NGS) provides educational programs and training, publishes several publications in the field of genealogy, and creates networking opportunities for its members, including national conferences.
