January 2026 General Meeting

J. Mark Lowe: Finding Uncle John's Grist Mill, His Neighbors and That Cemetery Using Maps, Records and Stories

A recording and handout from the meeting are available through 13 February 2026 to OGS members who are logged in. Use menu "Events / Recordings" to see a list of all available meeting recordings. Use menu "Downloads" to see the Downloads page and select "General Meeting Handouts (Members Only)".

PROGRAM:

Topographic maps and soil maps should help us identify a community, including neighbors, ferries, mills, cemeteries, historic houses, and many other landmarks. By using a combination of resources, the picture of this community will be more visible and more clearly understood.

OGS members: Download the handout.
